Settling in Nicely

I want to apologize for not keeping up this blog! I am going to get better at this I promise. I noticed the last blog post was in January. So I guess I have a lot to catch you up on. What have we being doing these last 5 months? Well....


I'll start with the move. As hard as it was to leave Kansas, we are settling in Yorktown, VA nicely. The boys love their new rooms and I am enjoying the Play/Scrapbooking room. Nothing says fun like a huge mess of toys everywhere. We have a nice backyard for the dogs to run around and plenty of room for visitors. Our days are filled with fun in the baby pool, walks to the library, and of course my favorite, trips to Target. Tommy gets really excited for the library. He loves grabbing a book and sitting like a big boy at the table to read it. He also picks out books for John to read in he stroller next to him. We went to a few Toddler Tales where Tommy got to sing songs and read along with kids his age. I signed up for the summer reading program and from the looks of it our Tuesdays will be filled with fun entertainment. 


We are really lucky to live by the beach now. As you can see from the new picture, the boys have taking to the sand well. It took some time convincing on our part to get Tommy to leave at the end of our day. There are many more trips to the Beach on the horizon. 


It's also nice being closer to family and friends. We have attended 3 birthday parties, a graduation party, and some much needed family fun. We are thankful to have more opportunities to spend with everyone. It's definitely been a while.
