I know this is a little late, but ever since we got back into town it has been really busy around here. I am going to attempt to recap all the wonderful things that happened over out Christmas break.
The ride to Virginia was OK. Tommy did pretty well, but at hour 14 he decided he no longer wanted to stay in his car seat and screamed for 2 hours until we reached my parents house. Needless to say, Danny bought Tommy and I tickets to fly back to Kansas at the end of the trip (which went a lot smoother).
We had a couple of days before Santa was schedule to arrive, which gave us time to see some friends and family. People stopped by my parents house on Sunday; we did dinner for Colleen's birthday on Monday, lunch with Shannon on Tuesday, and dinner with my family on Tuesday for my grandmother's 90th birthday.
We got some last minute shopping in with my brother and then it was time to get ready for Santa. I didn't know what to expect when Tommy was introduced to all of his presents. But, we were able to to stage a few photos of him trying to open his gifts. He really seemed to enjoy any gifts that lit up or made any noise, but mainly enjoyed the wrapping paper. We are so lucky to have such a supportive and loving family. Tommy was incredibly spoiled from both sides. It was so nice to see and spend time with everyone. I thought 2 weeks would be plenty of time to see everyone but it always goes so fast.
Thanks everyone for a wonderful trip, we had a great time!!!
