Bitter Sweet

I have to say "Bitter Sweet" is the best way to discribe the week we have had in the Kane household. The school year is has ended and summer has begun. This school year has had its ups and downs, but I can say I saw this group of students grow and mature a great deal. The students I work with are always moving, dealing with deployments, and have the strength of no other children I know. It is a pleasure to work with each of them and I am sad to see them go.
However, since summer has arrived I am able to focus on all the Fun things I have planned. Tommy and I are heading to VA to spend time with family and friends. We have a lot of fun activities planned and can't wait to get started. Althought our summer will be jammed packed, it does mean that Danny will not be joining us.
Danny has begun his journey and we have begun our count down.  When he gets settled we will have a better idea of what the lines of communication will be. I am hoping for time to skype for Tommy's sake, so please keep your fingers crossed. If anyone is interested in sending a care package or letters of any kind let me know and I can get the address to you. Danny would never say it himself, but it is always nice to get cards and letters. We appreciate everyone's support through this deployment. Tommy and I are so lucky to be blessed with a wonderful father and husband.
